Buu Hoa Ward has an uneven terrain. Quarter 3 – Tan Ban has a hillock of 5 meter-average height with the top of 11.8-meter height. Due to the long-standing model of setting fire to forests for tilling, this earth mound got exhausted and experienced nutrient deficiency. Therefore, during the past hundreds of years, it became disused and overgrown with weeds or grazing land for buffaloes. Afterwards, because of the lack of cultivated land, the people reclaimed the agricultural land from the hillock up to now.
